just some thoughts on things she might find fun

  • Black Thai International Arts and Crafts Fest

handcrafted items from Africa, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan and Thailand

  • 60th Annual Greek Festival

lots of food, music, and dancing in Lincoln Square

  • Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest

lots of food, music, art, and open studios on the charming cobbled streets of the Rogers Park neighborhood

  • Chicago Outdoor Film Festival-Grant Park

we can pack a picnic dinner and see Tootsie on Tuesday!

  • Shopping on the Mag Mile

  • The Music Box Theater

will be showing Flame & Citron and Art & Copy

  • Meal by PB

    probably unavoidable :)

  • Field Museum

  • Art Institute/Millenium Park

obligatory bean siting as well as a stroll across the new foot bridge, and there is also a new wing that might be cool

  • North Pond

a pricier choice for dinner, but well worth it from what I hear

  • Summer’s Eve Dinner

the affordable kick off dinner for the Chicago Tomato Fest, let me know if you want to check out this Slow Food tradition because I think we might need reservations

  • Erwin

excellent and slightly less expensive dining... but from what I understand, extremely charming!

  • Old Town

and Piper's Alley: lots of stroll-able small shops

  • Comedy Theater

there's lots to be had in Chicago, from improv to sketch to long form; since lots of the big playhouses are between seasons the little comedy clubs might be perfect for us

  • Green Mill

    for some funky jazz

  • Architecture Tour

on a boat in the Chicago river, I hear it's the best touristy thing to do in summer

  • Bonsoire

pre-fix and rad from what I hear
