I will compare all the Acai in Hawaii! Check back for updates.

  • Lanikai Juice

    Located in Kailua.

The first place I experienced an Acai Bowl. The first thing I noticed was the taste of the Acai. Unlike most places that use a lot of sweeteners to make the Acai sweet, LJ doesn't seem to add anything. I actually enjoy the slight tartness of Acai so this is a plus for me.

The consistency of the Acai is more like ice-cream. It's not watery and it's not frozen, yet it's very cold and creamy like.

Photo of the Acai Bowl coming soon.

  • Mocha Java Cafe

    Located in Ward near Borders.

I loved that fact that they put yogurt in the middle of the Acai bowl! Other than that, the consistency of the Acai is a more watery. It's not too sweet either.

    Photo coming soon.

List Notes

I have two places down so far. I've tried Jamba Juices Acai Cups but I think I need to try it again for a better feel of it. That will be next.

I like the one at Jewels or Juice in Kaimuki, they have different kinds and it HAS to have honey or it's no good

My favorite acai bowl would have to come from a cafe in Celestial Foods in Haleiwa. Great vegan/vegetarian store and the little cafe in the back is nice.

I live in Kailua so I hardly ever make it to Haleiwa. Next time I'm out there I'll try that place. Do they have good eats too?

Yeah it's a quite a drive. Pretty good vegan/vegetarian dishes. I like the feel of the cafe though. Very small haha. The workers are nice too.
